Farmington Hills police say 2 gunmen robbed Comerica Bank

Police say men armed, dangerous

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Farmington Hills police said they're looking for two men who were armed with handguns when they robbed a bank Wednesday morning.

Sgt. Alan Patterson said the gunmen targeted the Comerica Bank on Grand River Avenue and Middlebelt Road just after 11 a.m..

"This one is particularly a little bit disturbing in that they never made any demands, they came in with guns drawn. Immediately one of them started going over the counter," Patterson said.

He said one of the men fired two shots, striking a cabinet.

"The lobby wasn't crowded, there was only one customer in the bank. ... they had a clear run to the counter. No one else was in the way and no one else could get hurt," Patterson said.

He said the robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
