DETROIT – The Detroit Department of Human Services is in the process of moving from 5031 Grandy Street to the Herman Kiefer Health Complex, which is located at 1151 Taylor St. in Detroit.
The move is taking place in phases and will be complete by January 2012. The new location will provide better parking, lighting, and security. DHS will continue to offer the same administrative services that are offered at the current location.

DHS will be located on two floors of the Herman Kiefer Health Complex.
All of the center operation services, including utility assistance, emergency needs, transportation, and commodity distribution will be on the fifth floor, along with the Senior/Consumer Advocacy Division. Weatherization and Head Start will be located on the 6th floor.
