Driver charged in deadly crash on I-75

DETROIT – The driver in a crash that killed a 25-year-old woman in October has been charged with drunken driving.

Auburn Hills police said Danielle Himes died Oct. 22 when the car she was a passenger in flipped on the southbound Interstate 75 ramp to eastbound M-59. The car was being driven by 23-year-old Brian Christopher Joback, who police said had a blood alcohol level of 0.15 at the time of the crash.

He is charged with the felony of operating while intoxicated causing death. His next court date is Dec. 20.

Himes' fiance, 23-year-old Josh Lichtle, had died in July from complications of heat stroke.
