ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Police in Royal Oak were thanking a FedEx truck driver who helped stop a thief on Thursday.
The thief had stolen a woman's wallet while she was pushing two grocery carts to her car in a parking lot.

She chased the man across 13 Mile Road while frantically calling for help.
That's when Kevin Bartley, a FedEx driver who happened to be in the area, gave chase himself.
Bartley caught up to 51-year-old Steve Jozwiak. Bartley wrapped up Jozwiak until police arrived.
He grabbed the wallet from Jozwiak and handed it to the woman who stood nearby watching the hero take action.
Jozwiak faces theft charges and was being held at the Oakland County Jail. He has an extensive criminal record including thefts dating back to the 1970s.
FedEx is planning a celebration for Bartley. He has also been given a day off with pay.
