FERNDALE, Mich. – Preparations are underway to say goodbye to a popular cafe and music venue in Ferndale.
With good coffee, good music and quirky artwork on the walls, Aj's Music Cafe has been a staple in Ferndale.

However, now the owner is taking his final bow and calling it quits.
The cafe holds the Guinness Book of World Records longest concert ever title : 360 hours. Now, owner AJ O'Neil is closing down because he can't afford rent payment anymore.
"I have to have 200 people a day to come in to break even," O'Neil said.
He has been at the location for five years. Two years ago he had to make the choice of having a home or a cafe.
"I realized I could just live anywhere," he said. "This place needed a voice. So this place became my home."
O'Neil plans to auction off the items inside.
He has brought thousands of people together from all walks of life. But now, AJ and his once-lively music cafe are saying goodbye.
The cafe's last day will be March 31.
