Brothers accused of attacking mother in Pontiac apartment

PONTIAC, Mich. – Two brothers are facing charges following an attack on their mother in her Pontiac apartment, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said 18-year-old Joshua and 19-year-old Jessie Kalchert were arrested Tuesday after their mother called 911 to report the attack.

Deputies said they had to force their way into the apartment on South Telegraph Road because the brothers had locked themselves in it. Jessie Kalchert jumped out a rear window but was quickly taken into custody, deputies said.

The two are charged with domestic assault and resisting and obstructing arrest.

Both brothers have extensive juvenile records.
