Ann Arbor teen disputes 'Bully' documentary's R rating

DETROIT – An Ann Arbor teen is on her way to California to dispute the rating of a documentary highlighting bullying among kids.

Katy Butler, 17, is a junior at Greenhills High School. She is a victim of bullying herself.

She believes the documentary's R rating prevents too many teenagers from being able to see the film.

On Wednesday, Butler will deliver an online petition with more than 200,000 signatures to the Los Angeles office of the Motion Picture Association of America to appeal the rating.

"Bully" plays this weekend at the Uptown Film Festival in Birmingham.
