Farmingston Hills mom slowly recovering, son Sal remains in critical condition
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – A member of the Cipriano family has been moved from the hospital to a private rehabilitation facility which specializes in closed head injuries.
Rose Cipriano was moved from Botsford Hospital Tuesday, following an attack at her Farmington Hills home.\
Rose Cipriano's condition
The hospital released the following statement:
Rehabilitation for closed head injury patients, once they are medically stable, is critical to the process of recovery. The Critical Care team at Botsford wishes her and her family all the best. Watching her progress these last three weeks has been a rewarding experience for the staff and of course, her family. The Cipriano family has asked that we do not release the name of the rehabilitation facility.
Sal Cipriano remains listed in critical condition at Botsford Hospital, where he has been hospitalized since April 16.
About the attacks
On the morning of April 16, Bob Cipriano, Rose's husband and Sal's father, was beaten to death inside the family's home.
Tucker Cipriano, 19, and his friend, 20-year-old Mitchell Young, are charged with murder in Tucker's father's death. Police say the duo are responsible for breaking into the home and beating the three family members with baseball bats.
Tucker's young sister and brother, Sal's twin, were also at the home during the attack. Police said the boy called 911 from a closet and his sister allowed police into the home where they reported finding a gruesome murder scene.
