DETROIT – Charlie Wilson the former member of 80's group, The Gap Band, is coming to Chene Park in Detroit.
With The Gap Band, Wilson and brothers Ronnie and Robert helped define and popularize an upbeat form of funk with songs like "Outstanding" and "You Dropped a Bomb On Me."
The Mary Jane Girls featuring Detroit natives Val Young and Candice "Candi" Ghant will also join Wilson along with R & B artist Keith Washington.
Washington rode to fame with his 1991 album "Make Time For Love" which was co-produced by Quincy Jones.
The performance is scheduled for September 2nd.
