US Supreme Court declines to hear case of man convicted in Michigan Governor Whitmer kidnapping plot The high court’s decision means Croft will likely remain in federal prison
The U.S. Supreme Court is refusing to hear the case of one of the men imprisoned for a plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Barry Croft was sentenced to nearly 20 years in federal prison in 2022 for conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction.
He was accused of being one of the ringleaders in a plot to take Whitmer from her vacation home in 2020 in retaliation for COVID-19 restrictions.
The high court’s decision means Croft will likely remain in federal prison .
