Oxford High School raises money to pay for blue turf
Supporters need money to pay for new blue football field at Oxford High School
Oxford High School announced in January that it was going to install blue artificial turf in its football stadium.OXFORD, Mich. – The support for Oxford High School football is paying the bill for the team's new blue football field.
Five families put up their homes as collateral for the $400,000 cost of the new artificial turf.
The fundraising has been short of the total, with a September 1st deadline looming.
A fundraising event is taking place at the 24th Street Tavern in Oxford until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
