DETROIT – The Motor City Casino parking structure was temporarily closed Saturday night after several cars caught fire inside the garage.
Local 4 was told 4 cars were on fire. Firefighters were called to the scene to put out the blaze.
Smoke from the fires traveled inside the casino building. Witnesses say the smoke was thick enough to cause vision and breathing problems.
"When we got out of our car, we seen a whole bunch of smoke," says Marcella Murbock. "A lot of it. But we proceeded on to go into the casino because we kind of thought they could do something about it. But when we got into the casino, it was more and more smoke and we were like, choking. They kept saying it was ok."
No one was injured from the fire.
At this time, there's no word on what caused the fire to start.
