MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – Macomb County Medical Examiner Dr. Daniel Spitz is scheduled to go before the county's Board of Commissioners on Friday morning to talk about his duties at the Medical Examiner's Office.
Spitz, the son of former Macomb County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Werner Spitz, was subpoenaed by the Board in late July after several unfulfilled requests during the course of two years for his appearance before the county's Health and Human Services Committee.

He sent his legal counsel to appear on his behalf at the Aug. 15 Board of Commissioners meeting.
On Friday, Spitz is expected to answer questions about the prioritization of examinations, workload balance, the pursuit of national accreditation and other information.
The meeting begins at 10 a.m. at the Board of Commissioners office in the Administration Building in Mount Clemens.
