Comerica Park's 'Singing Hot Dog Man' fired

DETROIT – Charley Marcuse made a name for himself as the guy who loudly sang "Hot Dogs!" while selling the food to Detroit Tigers fans at Comerica Park.

But that's all over now that he has been fired from the job. He announced the news on his Twitter account.

"After 15 years the @Tigers finally got what they've always wanted: I was fired by @delawarenorth #Sportservice this morning. #LongLiveMustard," he tweeted.

It's not yet clear why he was fired.

Marcuse capitalized on the attention he received for his musical sales gimmick by starting his own brand of mustard -- Charley's Ballpark Mustard.
