DETROIT – Michigan State Police say a man was killed early Thursday morning when he was hit on an I-96 exit ramp.

Police said 36-year-old Reginald Wyatt was putting gas in his van after it stalled on the westbound ramp to Joy Road when he was was hit by a tow truck.

The tow truck driver wasn't hurt.

Police said alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor in the incident.
