Spring storm causes major damage

DETROIT – It came through quick, but a spring storm early Saturday evening left its mark on parts of Metro Detroit.

DTE Energy is reporting 62,000 customers -- primarily in northern Oakland and Macomb counties -- have lost power.

Severe thunderstorms and straight line winds whirled through Lake Orion, causing major damages all over town. Cars were crushed, signs were shattered and trees were tossed about.

With all of the damage and power outages, there were no injuries reported.
