GROSSE POINTE SHORES, Mich. – If you're house hunting, the most expensive listing in Michigan is heading to auction this month.
It's the Grosse Pointe Shores megamansion of furniture mogul Art Van Elslander.

What does a 28,000-square-foot mansion on Lakeshore Drive look like? Well, you could mention the massive quantities of marble, the grand staircase, the restaurant-sized wine cellar, the indoor pool, the outdoor pool or the many artisanal murals and custom work throughout the house.
Crown jewels come with crown jewel price tags. The Van Elslander home was listed at $15.9 million -- the most expensive in the state -- and it had a few nibbles but none the seller was interested in, so they're going international and planning an auction for Oct. 28.
That Bay Harbor show-stopper was listed at $13.9 million and just sold for $11 million at auction.
Grand Estate Auctions, which managed the sale, is marketing this mansion as well to buyers all over the world.
