Rev. Horace Sheffield found not guilty by jury in domestic violence case

DETROIT – Well-known Detroit spiritual and community leader Rev. Horace Sheffield has been found not guilty of charges related to a domestic violence incident.
Sheffield faced charges of domestic violence assault and battery and preventing a crime report, stemming from an incident that occurred in January of 2014 involving his wife, Diana Solomon.

The two filed for divorce the previous November.
Sheffield is the pastor at New Destiny Baptist Church. His daughter, Mary, is also on the Detroit City Council.
