Monroe man killed in motorcycle accident Motorcyclist hit fence post after riding into ditch No description found
BERLIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Monroe man is dead after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash Friday morning on U.S. Turnpike, north of Haggerman Road.
The Monroe County Sheriff reports that Cody L. Poff, age 23, crashed a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle into a ditch before striking a sign post and metal fence.
Poff, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle during the collision and suffered serious injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Beaumont-Trenton hospital. Poff was pronounced dead at 9:28 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Monroe County Sheriff's office at 734-240-7493.
