Body found on steps of Pontiac Public Library

PONTIAC, Mich. – The body of a 56-year-old homeless man was found Wednesday morning on the steps of the Pontiac Public Library on Pike Street, according to the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office.

Investigators from the Oakland County Sheriff's Department responded to the library for a welfare check. The man was found lying on the front steps of the library. He was not breathing. Paramedics from Star EMS and a physician from McLaren Oakland Hospital pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy.
