DETROIT – New Year's Eve is one of the most dangerous days of the year when it comes to drunk driving.
Law enforcement agencies know this and are beefing up patrols.
In an effort to keep everyone safe and stop people from waking up in a jail cell New Year's Day, a law firm in metro Detroit is offering to pay for safe rides taken during prime celebration hours.
David Christensen Law says it will reimburse up to $35 for any cab or Uber ride taken between 4 p.m. December 31 and 4 a.m. January 1.
For the reimbursement, a receipt and a copy of a driver's license must be submitted to the law firm by the next day. For complete details, click here.
