Man shot after asking men to 'lower their voices, Detroit police say

DETROIT – A man was shot in the thigh Thursday morning after asking two other men who were arguing to lower their voices, Detroit police said.

The incident happened just after 3 a.m.  in the 24200 block of W. Seven Mile Road.

Police said one of the arguing men pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at the 33-year-old victim. The victim grabbed the barrel of the gun and it went off, police said.

The victim was hit in his thigh and is in stable condition, police said.

Police said they are looking for the two men who were arguing.
