Charlie Bothuell suing Nancy Grace

DETROIT – Charlie Bothuell IV pleaded guilty in court just weeks ago and now he’s suing Nancy Grace.

Bothuell’s son went missing in June of 2014. Detroit police and the FBI furiously searched the city.

The 12-year-old boy was later found in the basement of the home and Bothuell was informed of this while appearing live on Nancy Grace’s television show.

Initially, Bothuell was charged with torturing his son and child abuse. He lost his job as a registered nurse and is separated from his wife.

Now, he’s suing Nancy Grace.

The complaint says:

“Defendants broadcast to the world false information about Plaintiff… evidence and allegations against him while accusing him of the most heinous possible crime: longstanding torture of his minor chile, Charlie Bothuell V… That there were markings all over Charlie Bothuell, V’s body that correspond to a particular PVC pipe used by Mr. Bothuell, IV to beat his son and make all of those marking on his body…Plaintiff’s reputation, economic opportunities, mental and emotional well-being, and his family were all irreparably harmed by Defendant’s malicious and reckless defamation.”
