The officer followed Martin as he continued to travel without headlights until he parked halfway in a parking spot in front of an apartment on Carlos street.
When confronted, the officer could smell a very strong odor of intoxicants coming from Martin, police said. He also viewed Martin stumbling when trying to walk and having slow, deliberate speech.
Martin was arrested on the suspicion of operating while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .15%. He is being held at the Macomb County Jail on a $3,000 bond.
