Residents in the area between West Jefferson Avenue to the south, Vernor Highway to the north, Miller Road to the west and Livernois Avenue to the east are advised to boil their drinking water until further notice.

Low pressure was reported after a 42-inch water distribution main broke.

DWSD customers should bring water to a rolling boil for one minute.

The advisory is in effect until DWSD and the Great Lakes Water Authority have determined boiling water is no longer necessary. Test sampling is being conducted.
