Suspect in Chelsea Bruck's death to undergo competency hearing

MONROE, Mich. – A 27-year-old man who is charged with second-degree murder in the death of a young woman who disappeared after a Halloween party in Monroe County in 2014 will undergo a competency exam.
Chelsea Bruck disappeared after attending a large party in Frenchtown Township, 35 miles south of Detroit. The 22-year-old's Poison Ivy villain costume was found about six months later at an industrial site, and her remains were discovered a few weeks later in a wooded area.
Bruck died from blunt force trauma to the head, according to her autopsy.
