OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Officials are offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the capture of a prisoner who was wrongly released Wednesday from the Oakland County Jail.

Johnny Rodgers II, 25, was in the custody of Oakland County while on a writ for a court appearance. He should have returned to the custody of the Michigan Department of Corrections but instead was released in error.
He was last seen in the area of 7 Mile Road and Livernois Avenue wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and Timberland boots. He is described as black, 6 feet tall, weighing 187 pounds and has tattoos on his arms, face, neck and chest. He has a tattoo on his right arm that says: "live for everything die for nothing."
Rodgers should be considered dangerous and should not be approached. He is serving a seven to 15 year sentence for assault with intent to commit murder, armed robbery and felony firearms.
Anyone with information or who has seen Rodgers is asked to call police at 1-800-TURN-1-IN or Crime Stppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
