LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich. – A Lathrup Village sex offender is facing new child porn charges, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court Friday.
Mitchell Chadwick Stankiewicz is charged with online coercion and enticement of a minor, production of child pornography, receipt of child pornography and sending obscene material to a minor.

Stankiewicz, 22, is a tier two sex offender. Stankiewicz was charged in June for violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice for rape or sexual act under the age of 12, possession of child pornography and bringing discredit upon the armed forces.
According to federal complaint, the mother of a 14-year-old girl went to police in July to report that her daughter had been having a sexual relationship online. She told police her daughter and an individual online were sending each other nude photographs with a cell phone application called “Whisper.”

After obtaining a search warrant for the girl’s Whisper account, police identified conversations with a person with the username “Drowning Cactus” and the conversations were sexually explicit, according to the complaint.
The IP address used by “Drowning Catcus” belonged to Stankiewicz, investigators said.
The criminal complaint says that a Facebook account for Stankiewicz had a profile picture that matched a photograph sent to the girl on Whisper.
A search warrant was executed at Stankiewicz’s home Sept. 2. Federal investigators said he was present at the time of the search, as well as family members, and Stankiewicz matched the picture on Facebook and Whisper.
