Carmen and Bernie go rollin' in the D

DETROIT – It's a side of Carmen you've never seen before, and you'll see more of it as we count down to her retirement.

Bernie and Carmen went for a ride around Detroit.

In case you haven't heard, Carmen is retiring from her broadcasting career. She has been a fixture in viewers' homes for 38 years. The best and worst news has always been delivered with class, thoughtfulness and an unparalleled grace.

But what makes Carmen herself? We found out during a drive through the city she loves so much.
