DETROIT – A teenage boy was shot and killed in Detroit Friday after police said he broke into a 75-year-old man's home in the 16000 block of Lyndon Street.
The man said he heard a someone at his back door after 3 a.m. Friday and saw two teenagers break into his home. He fired multiple shots at the intruders, police said.
The teen was found dead in the man's backyard, police said. The other teenager who broke into the man's home fled the scene on foot, police said.
Both teens are described as 16 to 18 years old.
