Man turns himself in after release of video showing theft at Westland Buffalo Wild Wings

WESTLAND, Mich. – A man turned himself in to police after releasing video of a theft at Buffalo Wild Wings in Westland.

According to police, the theft happened at the restaurant at 6677 North Wayne Road.

The surveillance video shows a man and a woman sitting at a table, keeping an eye on a cash payment and tip on a table next to them. The man looks around multiple times before taking the money.

The crime had not been discovered until after they left.

Westland police said they received many tips Wednesday morning and detectives were able to contact the suspect who agreed to turn himself in. Police said he is in custody.
