President Trump speaks in Ypsilanti, Michigan

YPSILANTI, Mich. – President Donald Trump was greeted by applause as he took the stage Wednesday afternoon at the American Center for Mobility in Ypsilanti, Mich.

“I’m going to fight for Michigan workers,” Trump said. “I’m going to fight to keep automotive production in the United States.”

“Before NAFTA went into effect, by the way, NAFTA, a total disaster, there were 280,000 auto workers in Michigan,” Trump said. “Today that number is roughly 165,000 and would have been heading down big league if I didn’t get elected.”

Trump met with Gov. Rick Snyder and Flint Mayor Karen Weaver prior to speaking at the mobility center.
