Lt. Jeff Neville participates in Fenton parade after Flint airport stabbing

FENTON, Mich. – The Bishop International Airport officer who was stabbed in the neck during a terror incident participated in Fenton’s Freedom Festival Parade.

Lt. Jeff Neville received applause from the crowds as he wished onlookers a Happy Independence Day.

“It means an awful lot,” Neville said.

Neville rode in an SUV with Herman Ferguson, pulling a float for an organization called "Concern Over Police Safety."

The ‘act of terrorism’ happened June 21. Amor M. Ftouhi, 49, has been charged in the incident.

Neville was taken to the hospital in critical condition and needed several surgeries. He has worked with the airport authority since 2006 and as a police officer at Bishop International Airport since 2001.
