2 killed, 1 injured after shooting in Oak Park

OAK PARK, Mich. – Two people have died, and one person was injured after a shooting in Oak Park early Monday morning.

The shooting happened at a home on Coolidge near 9 Mile Road just before 5 a.m. on Aug. 3.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man and a woman, ages ranging in their late teens or early 20s, dead with gunshot wounds inside the home. Another person was also shot and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Steve Cooper, the Chief of the Oak Park Police and Fire Department, said no one was arrested and they are still investigating the scene.

Cooper also said shots were fired from outside the home.
