VIDEO: Mudslide in South China buries 8 vehicles

Eight vehicles were buried when a mudslide hit a busy road in South China Wednesday. The incident was captured on dashcam video.

Traffic is moving slowly when suddenly, an avalanche of mud spills into the road. A minivan is seen being quickly carried onto the roadside before a truck and several other vehicles are swept into each other.

16 drivers and passengers were caught up in the mudslide. One man was trapped in his car, but was quickly rescued by firefighters. He was sent to the hospital with injuries to his legs and back. Two other people suffered minor injuries.

Officials said the mudslide was caused by persistent rain in the area.
