TROY, Mich. – A 16-year-old Oak Park girl was arrested for stealing $130 worth of merchandise from a Sephora store in Troy, police said.
Police said the girl walked into the store -- at 2800 W. Big Beaver Road -- around 6 p.m. Friday. She tried to walk out with the stolen items but was stopped by a loss-prevention officer, police said.
The girl was charged with third-degree retail fraud and released to her mother, who signed a juvenile petition agreeing to bring her to juvenile court, Troy police said.
