DETROIT – A 41-year-old woman was found stabbed and shot to death Monday morning on Detroit's west side.
Tiffany Hunter was found at a home on Sorrento Avenue near Outer Drive. According to Detroit police, a 49-year-old man was detained and later released.
Police said they got a call from a man who said he had gone to Hunter's home and found her dead. Police said she had been shot and stabbed multiple times.
At least one neighbor reported hearing screams from inside Hunter's home two days ago, but there hasn't been any other information about the incident, police said.
The man who was briefly taken into custody is described as an ex-boyfriend who was called a person of interest. He was interviewed and released.
Hunter had reportedly told friends that she feared her ex-boyfriend.
