VIDEO: Woman grabbed off sidewalk, forced into car in possible Los Angeles kidnapping

Police in Los Angeles are trying to identify a woman who may have been kidnapped Sunday night in an incident that was captured on surveillance video.

The footage shows a man stop his car in the middle of the road and approach a woman on the sidewalk. The man grabs the woman and appears to carry her against her will back to the car. She is then forced into the passenger's seat.

The woman makes several attempts to open the door. At one point, the woman is able to step out of the vehicle, but someone inside prevents her from fleeing. She is pulled back into the car and it drives away with her inside.

According to KNBC, the incident occurred in South Los Angeles shortly before midnight.

Witnesses said they heard someone yelling for help. They also said the vehicle had a Texas license plate and that there may have been a second suspect inside.

The vehicle was possibly a Chrysler 200.
