Farmington Hills police seek information regarding hotel armed robbery suspects

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Authorities say two armed robberies happened a day apart at two different Holiday Inn Express locations in Farmington Hills.

Tuesday at 11:59 p.m., authorities say a thin, black male, about 6 feet tall, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants, produced a pistol and demanded money at the Holiday Inn Express at Northwestern Highway and Clairview Drive. Once he received the money, he fled the scene.

Just shy of 25 hours later, on Thursday at 12:46 a.m., a second thin, black male, about 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, wearing a black ski mask, dark sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans, entered the Holiday Inn Express at 21100 Haggerty Road. Reaching into his waistband, he demanded money. According to authorities, he fled the scene once he received the money.

A 2008-2012 white Chevrolet Malibu with missing hubcaps was seen in the area during the Oct. 17 robbery. 

The Farmington Hills Police Department is investigating both armed robberies and added additional patrols to the area hotels. Anyone with information that could help identify the suspects should contact the police command desk at 248-871-2610.
