Novi dealership gives away 1,200 free cases of water to Oakland County residents

NOVI, Mich. – A car dealership in Novi is giving out 1,200 free cases of water to residents struggling during the Oakland County water emergency.

Feldman Chevrolet Novi announced it will distribute the free cases of water from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, or until supplies last.

The giveaway is limited to one case per person.

The dealership is located at 42355 Grand River Avenue.

A boil water advisory was issued for 12 communities in Oakland County due to a water main break in Farmington Hills. More than 250,000 residents were affected, and around 51,000 were without water completely.

The pipe needed to repair the water main arrived Wednesday morning, but the water must be tested for 48 hours after the repair, so Friday is the earliest that water could be safely used without being boiled.
