Royal Oak city officials said the fire was confined within a dumpster directly under fire suppression sprinklers and "fortunately the fire never became hot enough to even trigger the sprinklers," a statement from the city reads.

"No injuries and no interruption to Holiday Market customers thanks to Royal Oak Firefighters and Public Services employees," a statement from the city reads.

The grocery store is located along South Main Street between East Parent and East Kenilworth avenues. It is expected to be open for business Friday.
