Boil water advisory issued in Livonia after water main break causes low water pressure

LIVONIA, Mich. – Livonia is under a boil water advisory.

Some areas of the city are experiencing low water pressure or no water due to a water main break. Neighboring communities also were affected.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area of Schoolcraft and Stark roads while the break is repaired.

Livonia Public Schools have canceled classes Friday as a result of the advisory.

Redford Township also was under a boil water advisory, but it has been lifted.
