4-year-old boy in serious condition after being struck by vehicle on Detroit's east side

DETROIT – A 4-year-old boy is in serious condition after being struck by a car on Detroit's east side.

Police said the child was crossing Nottingham Road at 7:05 p.m. when he was struck by a pregnant driver.

Police say the driver stopped to speak to the boy's mother, who became aggressive.

The pregnant driver then started suffering stomach pain and drove herself to the hospital.
