It's official: This year's Time Magazine Person of the Year is ...

"The Guardians and the War on Truth," a group of journalists who have been in the news in 2018, which includes Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist who was killed earlier this year while at the Saudi Arabia consulate in Istanbul.

Also included is Maria Ressa, the chief executive of the Philippines news website Rappler and Capital Gazette, the Annapolis, Maryland, newspaper where five people were killed during a mass shooting over the summer.
