Hit-and-run suspect
A hit-and-run driver who injured a 67-year-old woman in Oak Park pretended to be a witness and even gave a statement to police. Janet Applebaum was walking home from visiting her elderly mother on Sept. 8. While crossing the intersection of Greenfield and 10 Mile roads, a car plowed into her. Gas station surveillance video shows the crash.
