General Dynamics workers ratify UAW contract

DETROIT – UAW members at General Dynamics Land Systems Corporation ratified a new four-year agreement Saturday.

Nearly 60% of its workers voted in favor of the contract.

“Our membership’s approval of this agreement solidifies the quality work and pride they have in designing and building vehicles and equipment that provide daily safety for our nations’ military,” said UAW Secretary-Treasurer Ray Curry, director of the UAW General Dynamics Department.

Key gains from the contract include protecting job security, wages and benefits.

General Dynamics is the fifth largest defense contractor in the United States and has UAW members at manufacturing plants in Sterling Heights, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
