DETROIT – An 8-month-old baby died Thursday after suffering multiple head fractures at a Detroit home.
The child's father, Dominique Jones-Hardy, told police that he laid the child on a bed Monday at the home in the 11600 block of Laing Street and walked out of the room. He said he heard a boom and when he walked back into the room, he found the child on the floor.
Jones-Hardy was charged with first-degree child abuse. He will not face additional charges until an autopsy is complete.
