Detroit People Mover offers free rides on Thanksgiving Day

DETRPOT – Sprint is sponsoring Thanksgiving Free Fare Day for a second time, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

The People Mover is also coordinating with the Detroit Department of Transportation to give bus ridersan easy transfer to the Eastside routes, which are affected by parade traffic.

Affected routes include #7 Cadillac-Harper, #10 Chene, #31 Mack, #34 Gratiot and #48 Van Dyke. DDOT customers should board these routes at Bricktown Station, located on Beaubien Street, north of Larned. Eastside routes will resume service to the Rosa Parks Transit Center at 6 p.m.
