Drunken FedEx semitruck driver arrested after driving erratically in Troy

Man blew .21 percent on preliminary breath test

TROY, Mich. – A FedEx semitruck driver who was drunk was arrested Nov. 24 after police pulled him over in Troy.

Police said the 48-year-old Grand Blanc man denied drinking alcohol even though the officers could smell alcohol while the man spoke.

The officers said the man performed sobriety tests poorly, and he blew .21 percent on a preliminary breath test.

When police searched the truck, they found two half-full containers of alcohol in a container.

The driver was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and transporting an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.Â
