SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A boil water alert has been issued for some residents in Shelby Township.

The Shelby Township Department of Public Works advises residents in a small area near 22 Mile Road between Hayes and Schoenherr roads to boil their water before consuming it until samples test clean.

However, there is no need for boiling water if you plan to bathe, shower, or clean.
